Priyanka’s portrayal of Sweety in
Kaminey has to be one of my favourites. She actually got into the skin of the character and embraced her role. Taking a non-glamorous approach, she wore minimal make-up and dressed as a simple Maharashtrian girl. It worked wonders for her audiences.
7 Khoon Maaf
It’s not everyday you play the lead in a
Vishal Bharadwaj movie and trump the other 7 actors in the film. It’s not everyday you act out the lifespan of a character on celluloid. Except, of course, if you’re Priyanka Chopra. We had barely recovered from watching her play 12 characters in
What’s Your Rashee? when she tempted us with Suzanna’s seven shades in
7 Khoon Maaf. To date, it remains one of her most impressive performances.
